As a Partner with Shea Law, Zachary Bialick specializes in estate and business planning, helping both families and businesses prepare for the future and safeguard their legacy. Whether it is walking a client through the process of creating a will or trust or drafting business agreements, contracts, or other documentation for a business owner’s succession plan, Zachary approaches his work with a level of care, consideration, and deep expertise that has helped him earn a Super Lawyers Rising Stars Designation several years running. A diligent and driven attorney with a deep sense of compassion, he is inspired by the everyday opportunities that his work affords him to help families avoid conflict and hardship during some of life’s most difficult moments—and pass their hard-earned success on to the next generation.

Zachary graduated from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance in 2011 and from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 2014. During law school, he worked as a law clerk at the University of Michigan’s Detroit Center for Family Advocacy and the Salvation Army William Booth Legal Aid Clinic, formative experiences that helped to spark his interest in helping families and institutions successfully navigate complex disputes. In addition to his work with Shea, Zachary is an active member of the Financial and Estate Planning Counsel of Metro Detroit (FEPCMD).

Outside of work, Zachary loves spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two girls. He also enjoys playing golf and tennis, as well as watching Detroit sporting events and rooting for his favorite team: the MSU Spartans.

Legacy is important—not for abstract reasons or high-minded ideals, but because of something very practical and essential: as a means to provide for the safety and security of your loved ones. I take a lot of pride in knowing that I can help my clients plan their legacy and protect their family’s future.
